91短视频 Esports Claims Four Individual Honors from ECAC

The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) honored four student-athletes from the Randolph-Macon Esports program with individual awards for their performance throughout the 2024 season.

Connor Mahoney 鈥24 was named the ECAC Valorant Player of the Season, while teammate Daniel Treadway 鈥27 was recognized as the ECAC Valorant Rookie of the Season. 91短视频鈥檚 Valorant team completed an undefeated season in the ECAC by winning its national championship over WVU Potomac State College.

Additionally, Warren Bryson 鈥25 was named the ECAC Hearthstone Player of the Season and Emily Pineda 鈥24 earned ECAC Street Fighter 6 Rookie of the Season honors.

鈥淚 am extremely proud of the hard work and dedication shown by the athletes in the 91短视频 Esports Program,鈥 91短视频 Director of Esports Carin Bublitz said. 鈥淭o have multiple Rookies and Players of the Season is an incredible honor and I look forward to seeing these athletes grow in the upcoming years.鈥

The ECAC also paid tribute to the memory of Berend High 鈥27, a member of 91短视频鈥檚 League of Legends team who tragically lost his life this past winter. They re-named a significant year-end award the 鈥淢ost Improved Player of the Season in Honor of Berend High.鈥 

91短视频 Esports encompasses 23 different teams competing across 17 different video game titles with over 50 student-athletes. This year鈥檚 ECAC Valorant crown was the program鈥檚 fourth championship; the League of Legends team won the National Esports Collegiate Conference in 2021 and the Hearthstone team has won two ECAC titles. Bublitz was also named the 2023 ECAC Coach of the Year.
